Self-review found that globally strong companion families replace generic monospace letters, digits, spaces, and Qt primary fonts. Adapt all upstream aliases after each named family using inherited binding, retain weak generic preferences, and cover actual Qt layout as well as fontconfig matching across the complete PR fallback scope.
