It relies primarily on the fact that URLs are arranged in a way similar to a file system, with other well defined pieces. A URL can look something like this: . http://www.example.com/path/to/file.txt?query=value#anchor . If you were on a page with that URL, Uppity would descend to these URLs, one by one, in this order: . http://www.example.com/path/to/file.txt?query=value http://www.example.com/path/to/file.txt http://www.example.com/path/to/ http://www.example.com/path/ http://www.example.com/ http://example.com/ . Clicking the button on the toolbar will move from one page to the next in that list. The keyboard shortcut ALT-Up will also navigate this way.
