It turns out I already fixed the /dev/tty[0-9]* permissions way back in -59, we just hadn't done anything in postinst to force them tighter on upgrade, ergo the confusion in -67 and -68. [large sigh] * MAKEDEV creates /dev/tty[0-9]* as 0600, and mesg wiggles the group write bit, so make the postinst do 'chmod g-r,o= /dev/tty[0-9]*' instead of "o=" Files: 760ddbc2e0946ffb79f533ddea798d20 552 base required makedev_2.3.1-69.dsc 1a86682ba59eb6562af54cee7860356d 45535 base required makedev_2.3.1-69.diff.gz 6a5ae6d214a52121d49fc7044ff8f3d8 39554 base required makedev_2.3.1-69_all.deb -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.4 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFAjoaTZKfAp/LPAagRAkmkAJ4jgD3K2uHayShLK2t+5LpGCVw7UQCdGJm0 Jwxv7pNNkOux4JOJsB7zC3U= =td+1 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- Accepted: makedev_2.3.1-69.diff.gz to pool/main/m/makedev/makedev_2.3.1-69.diff.gz makedev_2.3.1-69.dsc to pool/main/m/makedev/makedev_2.3.1-69.dsc makedev_2.3.1-69_all.deb to pool/main/m/makedev/makedev_2.3.1-69_all.deb -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-devel-changes-REQUEST@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
