    Include and use pristine-tar branch
    
    This is primarily done since the latest 'upstream' branch is broken for
    version 1.31. Adding the pristine-tar branch makes it possible to
    continue to build from the repository. This is not a fix for the
    upstream branch.
    The upstream branch will be fixed when a new upstream release is
    created.
