commit ac2a34d0c0edda4b64a3b182d0238c25fe0a3ef5
Author: Sandro Tosi <morph@debian.org>
Date: Wed Oct 21 18:44:04 2026 -0400

fix(gtk_ui): hide the search column, escape all yes/no dialog markup

Review fixes on top of Georges's patch from !105:

    - keep the precomputed search text in a model-only column; it was added
to the view columns, so every bug row showed its whole text in an
      extra "searchable" column
    - hide categories with no matching bugs again, as before the patch;
with the precomputed text this stays fast, and categories no longer
stay listed when nothing in them matches
    - escape the yes/no dialog text with GLib.markup_escape_text(), which
also covers "&": a message containing one still showed an empty
      dialog
    - set up the filter stack in execute(), which runs in the UI thread,
      instead of in sync_pre_operation()
    - drop the unused "import time", and fix the whitespace and docstrings
      flake8 flagged

commit 7852a6f54d75bceedeebc0f90450872e180bf1d4
Author: Sandro Tosi <morph@debian.org>
Date: Wed Oct 21 17:50:32 2026 -0400

fix(gtk_ui): size the window from the monitor workarea

Gdk.Screen.get_width()/get_height() are deprecated since GTK 3.22, and on
X11 they measure all monitors combined: two 800x600 monitors gave a
1520x570 window spanning both, and a small monitor next to a bigger one
was not detected as small. Use the workarea of the primary monitor
instead (the first one on Wayland, which has no primary), which also
    leaves out panels.

commit 8c93d302c659124eb0b469f6c22940df4a82f7af
Author: Benjamin Drung <benjamin.drung@canonical.com>
Date: Thu Dec 5 18:39:18 2024 +0100

    d/tests/runnable: Test against Debian BTS

Running reportbug with its default configuration on Ubuntu will print
the error message (see previous commit). So test explicitly reporting
    the bugs against Debian.

commit 7905fc5b583bf0f5e6b7bf08489d95f8150e748d
Author: Benjamin Drung <benjamin.drung@canonical.com>
Date: Thu Dec 5 18:38:16 2024 +0100

reportbug: exit with an error on Ubuntu, if bts=ubuntu

Using reportbug on Ubuntu to report Ubuntu bugs is not supported.

commit 07220efe1f2be791f714800a122549728cf042f9
Merge: 2ef30b6 08bea1b

commit 08bea1bd42d3ff07ee21415661d1f48ffe796f86
Author: Sandro Tosi <morph@debian.org>
Date: Wed Oct 21 01:48:01 2026 -0400

fix(reportbug): keep the default-BTS message, survive missing os-release

Address the review of this MR:

    - bin/reportbug: print "Will send report to X (per os-release)" when the
default BTS comes from the os-release ID, as nma asked, matching what
      the removed lsb_release branch printed
    - bin/reportbug: return None from get_os_release_id() when no os-release
file exists, so reportbug falls back to debian instead of crashing

commit 74b5de8bf90dfb623f91098cb2ebfe2401469d34
Author: Sandro Tosi <morph@debian.org>
Date: Wed Oct 21 01:37:11 2026 -0400

fix(debbugs): add the missing space after 'No' in the critical text

Without it the gnats 'critical' severity text renders "Noworkaround".
This is the one change from !99 (Mechtilde Stehmann, #1107710) that
this MR lacked, so with it this MR covers every join and !99 can be
    closed.

commit 91d45886ce64ccddfc3407396d462de2bb3ce255
Author: Sandro Tosi <morph@debian.org>
Date: Wed Oct 21 00:58:05 2026 -0400

fix(gtk_ui): suggest reportbug-gtk when Vte is missing

Name the reportbug-gtk package, which pulls in every GTK UI dependency,
instead of the single gir1.2-vte-2.91 typelib, as requested in #1121291.

    - reportbug/ui/gtk_ui.py: name reportbug-gtk in the missing-Vte dialog

Derive default BTS from os-release ID

Instead of calling `lsb_release -si`, read `ID` from os-release (using

Calculate the default bts at the beginning of the `UI.user_interface`
method instead of setting it twice.
