Among the 2 debian patches available in version 6.1.0-1 of the package, we noticed the following issues:

  • 2 patches where the metadata indicates that the patch has not yet been forwarded upstream. You should either forward the patch upstream or update the metadata to document its real status.

1 low-priority security issue in bookworm low

There is 1 open security issue in bookworm.

1 issue left for the package maintainer to handle:
  • CVE-2023-28858: (postponed; to be fixed through a stable update) redis-py before 4.5.3 leaves a connection open after canceling an async Redis command at an inopportune time, and can send response data to the client of an unrelated request in an off-by-one manner. NOTE: this CVE Record was initially created in response to reports about ChatGPT, and 4.3.6, 4.4.3, and 4.5.3 were released (changing the behavior for pipeline operations); however, please see CVE-2023-28859 about addressing data leakage across AsyncIO connections in general.

You can find information about how to handle this issue in the security team's documentation.
