    Document why dh_auto_test is overridden

Finding from the ftp-master checklist, which requires every skipped test to be
justified in writing. The crate ships no tests at all: no tests/ directory, no
#[test], no [[test]] target and no dev-dependencies, so cargo test would only
recompile the binary in test mode for nothing.

    New upstream release 1.2.2+ds

Drop 0003-add-man-page and 0004-fix-window-state-typo, both upstream since
1.2.1. Drop the LC_NUMERIC override from the wrapper, since upstream now
calls setlocale() itself before creating the mpv handle.

Refresh the crate pins: Debian has caught up with gtk4, gdk4-wayland,
libadwaita and clap, so only seven crates still need loosening.

Add 0003-use-crates-io-libmpv2. Upstream moved that dependency to a git fork
of 5.0.3, which cannot be satisfied from the Debian registry, so Build-Depends
now requires librust-libmpv2-dev (>= 5.0.3-2), the revision carrying the three
    fixes the fork exists for.

man page: fix three unverified details

Reviewing the page against the source turned up three things that were
    written without checking:

    - AUTHOR carried support@stremio.com, an address that appears nowhere in
upstream's tree and that I had not verified. Removed, and added a
REPORTING BUGS section pointing at the issue tracker upstream's metainfo
      already declares.
    - FILES claimed ~/.local/share/com.stremio.Stremio/. config.rs sets
      DATA_DIR = "stremio", so it is ~/.local/share/stremio/.
    - The description said the application expects a running streaming server,
when server.rs starts one itself by running node on $SERVER_PATH.
Documented that variable in a new ENVIRONMENT section, noting it is
      required.

Same correction pushed to the upstream PR (Stremio/stremio-linux-shell#134).
Renders with no roff warnings. Not a new revision: this should ride the next
upload rather than justify one on its own.

Address further lintian findings from Simon's review

    - debian/control: add Built-Using/Static-Built-Using (real requirement
for Rust binaries, per wiki.debian.org/Gnome/Rust_Packaging), drop
      redundant Priority: optional
    - debian/rules: remap the build path out of RUSTFLAGS (mirrors what
dpkg-buildflags already does for CFLAGS via hardening=+all), and call
      dh-cargo-built-using explicitly since overriding dh_auto_install
bypasses the cargo buildsystem's own automatic call to it

commit 179ac4ac511e4ddd642401af5d5435eeb4a35faf
Author: Juan Manuel Mendez Rey <vejeta@gmail.com>
Date: Wed Sep 16 23:19:53 2026 +0200

stremio-wrapper: export LC_NUMERIC=C, fixing an mpv init crash

Real crash found while manually testing the built package on this
machine's own locale (en_GB.UTF-8): "Failed to create mpv: Null" panic in
src/app/video/imp.rs, immediately preceded by libmpv's own runtime
message "Non-C locale detected. This is not supported. Call
    'setlocale(LC_NUMERIC, "C");' in your code."

libmpv2's own crate docs already say this plainly ("Libmpv requires
LC_NUMERIC to be C, which should be the default value"), but upstream's
own main.rs never calls setlocale for it, so this fails on essentially
any non-C locale, not just unusual ones -- confirmed with en_GB.UTF-8
specifically. Verified the fix directly: running the built stremio-bin
with LC_NUMERIC=C set gets past mpv initialization cleanly, where it
    previously panicked every time.

Recommend stremio-server-installer instead of a hard Depends on stremio-server

Caught during an adversarial review of the new stremio-server-installer
package: stremio's control file still hard-Depended on a package named
"stremio-server" that was never packaged (server.js turned out to have no
defensible redistribution basis, see stremio-server-installer's own
debian/README.source) -- this would have made stremio literally
uninstallable once uploaded. Recommends the actual installer package
instead; stremio already runs fine without a server (BitTorrent streaming
just becomes unavailable, per upstream's own statement on this).

commit 73e821d5d00b3bcde0f016bd1831c841a1ee359d

Add a man page for stremio

lintian flags the binary as missing one (no-manual-page). Documents the
CLI options defined via clap in src/main.rs. Forwarded upstream:
    https://github.com/Stremio/stremio-linux-shell/pull/134

Verified via sbuild: usr/share/man/man1/stremio.1.gz ships in the .deb
and the no-manual-page lintian warning is gone.

commit eab46e3a24290fd348d3e7ba4fe14ab48c69c541

    debian/stremio.install: install the GSettings schema

The app fails at startup with 'Settings schema com.stremio.Stremio is
not installed' -- build.rs's setup_schemas() only compiles it into
$XDG_DATA_HOME at build time (a workaround for the sbuild verification
chroot), it was never actually shipped in the package. Install it to
/usr/share/glib-2.0/schemas/ so dh_installgsettings (already part of
the debhelper-compat=13 sequence) wires up the dpkg trigger that
compiles it into gschemas.compiled at package-install time.

Repack as +ds: exclude data/server.js (non-DFSG prebuilt JS bundle)

Per the FTP-MASTER-CHECKLIST.md methodology (already applied to the
    sibling stremio-gtk/CEF package): data/server.js is a 6.6MB webpack-
minified bundle with no source in this tree, so it can't ship in the
Debian source package. Excluded via Files-Excluded in debian/copyright,
    documented in the new debian/README.source.

At runtime the app already reads SERVER_PATH from the environment
(src/server.rs) rather than hardcoding a path, so no source patch is
needed -- just a debian/stremio-wrapper script pointing it at
/usr/share/stremio/server.js, which the stremio-server package (already
a Depends:) installs. Also install the desktop/metainfo/icon files that
    were sitting unused in data/.

Version bumped to 1.2.0+ds-1 to match the repacked tarball.

commit 82b97800119ef60b89b7d3d410157757485b1102

debian/copyright: add Expat stanza for the AppStream metainfo.xml

    data/com.stremio.Stremio.metainfo.xml declares <metadata_license>MIT
</metadata_license> for itself, distinct from <project_license>GPL-3.0-
only</project_license> for the app as a whole -- a common AppStream
convention allowing catalog reuse of just the metadata. Fixes lintian's
    inconsistent-appstream-metadata-license warning.

    Per the FTP-MASTER-CHECKLIST.md methodology (licensecheck -r src/ data/
    build.rs po/ against debian/copyright): also found data/server.js is a
6.6MB webpack-minified JS bundle with no corresponding source in this
tree -- the same prebuilt-blob DFSG issue already documented for the
    CEF-variant package (stremio-dev/FTP-MASTER-CHECKLIST.md), where it's
excluded from the +ds tarball since the separate stremio-server package
ships it. This webkit-variant tarball is not yet repacked as +ds, so
that exclusion is still pending -- not fixed in this commit.

commit 8963867123eef0e662b7d4a246ce494a4c5b7ace

debian/rules,control: fix build.rs's schema-compile step in the chroot

build.rs's setup_schemas() writes the compiled gschema into
$XDG_DATA_HOME/glib-2.0/schemas at build time and shells out to
glib-compile-schemas. $HOME in the sbuild chroot is /sbuild-nonexistent,
so dirs::data_dir() resolved to an unwritable path (Permission denied).
Point XDG_DATA_HOME at a build-local directory instead, and add the
    libglib2.0-bin Build-Depends that provides glib-compile-schemas.

debian/rules: use the dh-cargo Debian cargo wrapper for the actual build

override_dh_auto_build previously called plain 'cargo build', which
never picks up the registry redirect dh_auto_configure sets up in
debian/cargo_home/config.toml (that only activates when CARGO_HOME
literally ends in /debian/cargo_home and /usr/share/cargo/bin/cargo,
not /usr/bin/cargo, is what's invoked) -- so it went straight to
crates.io and failed with no network in the build chroot. Export the
same envvars dh-cargo's buildsystem sets internally (CARGO_HOME,
    DEB_HOST_RUST_TYPE/GNU_TYPE, CFLAGS/CXXFLAGS/CPPFLAGS/LDFLAGS) and put
the wrapper first on PATH so our own build/install recipes see the
    same environment dh_auto_configure already prepared.

debian/rules: add debian/cargo-checksum.json required by dh-cargo's configure step

dh-cargo's cargo buildsystem unconditionally copies this to
.cargo-checksum.json during dh_auto_configure, for both lib and bin
packages, before running 'cargo prepare-debian --link-from-system'.

Add debian/ packaging for the WebKitGTK6-based stremio rewrite

Initial packaging: control, rules, changelog, copyright, and the two
    Cargo.toml patches (exr-feature-disable, Debian-version-pins). Not yet
    upload-quality (copyright needs a full per-file audit, no desktop/icon/
appstream files yet) -- this is a working build for sbuild verification
    against the newly-packaged prerequisite crates.

Revert direct Cargo.toml edits, now captured as debian/patches

The exr-feature-disable and Debian-version-pin changes now live in
debian/patches/0001 and 0002 respectively, applied via quilt at build
time, so the tracked source matches pristine upstream again.

Cargo.toml: pin gtk4/gdk4-wayland/libadwaita/anyhow/libc to versions Debian ships

Debian is a few patch releases behind on each; verified the specific
feature flags this crate needs (v4_22, v4_20+wayland_crate, v1_9) already
exist at Debian's shipped version, and the two plain crates (anyhow, libc)
only ever add API in patch releases, never remove.

Cargo.toml: pin base64/flume/itertools/libloading/mpris-server to versions Debian ships

Verified byte-for-byte identical API surface for everything this crate
    actually calls (base64::engine::general_purpose + read::DecoderReader,
    flume::unbounded, itertools::Itertools::collect_vec,
    libloading::os::unix::Library::new, and the full mpris_server::Player/
Metadata builder API this crate uses) between the requested and the
    Debian-shipped version of each.
